You could say that the game is almost magical!
Cultured Vultures: Ash has said that he will not rest until he gets an Ape Escape remake, but how likely is that to actually happen?
Classic PS2 platformer Ape Escape 3 has today been rated by the European games classification board PEGI for release on the PS4, refuelling rumours of an impending relaunch.
Never understood why Sony completely abandoned the series when it was one of their biggest sellers of all time. Ape Escape 3 was fantastic.
Le sigh. Why no Motorstorm Arctic Edge, Jak and Daxter The Lost Frontier, Syphon Filter Dark Mirror, Secret Agent Clank. Ratchet and Clank Size Matters, Twisted Metal: Head-On Extra Twisted Edition??? And these are just some 1st Party Games that Sony could release and make a mint on as people may have missed out on them because PS3 had released at the time.
Most of these were PSP games that received PS2 ports back in the day and so were on PS2. A lot of them should have no problems being released on PS4 because moat these games don't have licensed soundtracks that would screw up the ability of porting it.
Then there are others too like Silent Hill Origins, Silent Hill Shattered Memories that Konami could actually make some money on.
This "PS2 games on PS4" thing turned out to be just as crap as it was when they did PS2 games for PS3. Its just mostly the same games again so far with Rockstar Games showing most effort again and reaping the benefits by making more nosh for their trouble.
Once again Ape Escape 3 has been rated for the PS4 by the ESRB, hinting at perhaps a release through the PS2 classics program sometime later this week or next.
I absolutely loved the first game. Never got around to the second, and had no idea that there even was a third.
Would love to see Ape Escape represented in PS All Stars.
