Borderlands 2: like and unlike Diablo III in all the best ways | VG247 preview

VG247: Dave Oshry plays the PC version of Borderlands 2 and speaks to director Jeremy Cooke. He leaves with a fistful of Diablo III comparisons and melted eyes.

The story is too old to be commented.

"You’ll tear up cloth, shatter windows and splinter wood."
I love this kind of interactivity. Makes the world seem really alive.

"There’s even radiosity lighting, day-night cycle support (finally), next-gen pixel shading..."
Good to see improvements, lighting really helps make a game seem more real. I thought there was day-night cycles in Borderlands? It wasn't the greatest cycle, but it was still there. Wonder what they mean.

"The game actually has color this time around, really bright reds and deep blues."
Color works especially well with this game because of the cell-shading. I can't wait to see how the artistic design is with the final product.
