Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Possibly Delayed

The Man Room, January 17, 2008:

Retailer Amazon.com has updated the street date from this spring to August 26 for all three console versions, while EB Games still shows an April 1 release date. LucasArts has yet to formally comment on the change at Amazon, but The Man Room sees no reason for Amazon to arbitrarily make up their own dates.

yet there needs to be a ps3 cover on it lol the wii version is using to much power for the game designers to handle so they need more time i know a lot of people will not be happy,is the pc version delayed as well?

There's no PC version.

The PC version was canned back in December, when LucasArts saw all the PC big titles (UT3, Crysis) flopped in the NPD November sales data.

I have been looking forward to this since I saw the trailer. Now I have to wait until next fall? F*ck that!

FWIW I'm a huge SW nerd and have played nearly every star wars game at some point.

A video game being delayed??? Who would have thought? Of all the nerve...

p.s. The wii version will suck no matter what. People will quickly realize that they are just using gestures (like wii sports) instead of actual 1:1 movement. Besides, why do a bunch of middle-aged housewives want a star wars game, anyway?

First of all I can tell you that there ARE hardcore gamers on wii, otherwise we wouldn't see awesome Resident Evil sales would we?!
and even though Metroid Prime 3 could have done better it still sold over a mio copies.

Secondly: yes it won't be 1:1 but gesture based movement is far superior to the standard gay controller of a gaybox or a PS3 for that matter. AND what about the awesome force push with the nunchuk?! I guess it count's a little..

Thirdly: your probably a scared little fanboy afraid of the casual market and therefore you diss the wii - what a pity...

not cool at all, this is the one game I really wanted, they seemed to work close with george lucas to make a killer starwars game, well more time to polish the game I guess.

The Dual Shock 3 controllers are coming out Spring 2008 in the U.S.

The reason Sony is making us wait is because they want to be bums and still charge people full price for basic SIXAXIS.

I've been looking forward to this game since last summer. This is a huge disappointment. I hope LucasArts somes out and say it's not true. Come on guys, Say it aint so.

Dammit if this does indeed turn out to be true,I have been forward to playing this one for awhile now...oh well us PS3 owners have more than enough games to play this year anyways,the only people who have to worry about SWTFU being delayed are the Xbox 360 gamers

i still say they need to put in dual light sabers and on all out online jedi battle modes could you jsut image 30-60 people running around with light sabers killing each other? but i still will prolly rent this. it just dont attract me like the games where you can have the staff looking saber and the dual ones for fighting your friends

I think it's only going to be delayed by a week but it's still coming out in the Spring you just have to wait a week or two longer which isn't that bad considering that the PS3 will have so many great games that it won't matter if it's delayed or not.
