Windows Phone 8 to support 720p displays?
TechDeville writes: "It goes without saying that Windows Phone 7 has had a tough time penetrating the ever competitive smartphone market. A market that is dominated by Android and iOS. Part of the reason why Windows Phone is struggling is due to the strict hardware requirements Microsoft imposes on OEMs. While this reduces the chances of fragmentation, it does create an upper limit to how much a manufacturer can innovate. And one of those innovations include screen resolution. Current Windows Phones are only able to support a paltry 480×800 resolution. Compare that to the Retina display on the iPhone and 720p displays on Android and you’ll see where the problem lies."
