There are some who will argue that Shaq-Fu, the fighting game starring the gigantic former NBA star, isn’t terrible, but its reputation is probably enough to keep most people from giving this supposed kusoge a spin.
ArugulaZ has released a patch for the SNES version, though, that replaces its corny text. “Here’s your chance to play the game with a script that spends less time kissing Shaq’s butt and more time being entertaining,” he says.
The original Shaq Fu was a pretty dire embarrassment, a relic from the age of 1994 basketball mania that saw Space Jam inexplicably become a smash hit and multiple NBA stars get their own games.
