Nolan North wins part in Star Trek 2 off the back of Uncharted

EuroGamer - Veteran video game voice actor Nolan North has won a role in big screen blockbuster Star Trek 2 off the back of his work on the Uncharted series.

North told Eurogamer that director J. J. Abrams asked him to appear in the forthcoming movie sequel as he was a big fan of PlayStation 3 hero Nathan Drake.

It'd be neat to see him play a villain. He did a great job voicing Penguin. Wonder how well he acts on camera...

ehhh, how did he WIN!! a part after J.J. ABRAHAM "asked" him to appear in the forthcoming movie sequel. surely dont sound like he won anything to me. word from word 'Abraham: We're doing Start Trek, you wanna do it?' And Mr.NORTH said: I'd love to.

by the way if no one know how NOLAN NORTH look in real life how would we know it is him in that brief small part?? I personally have never seen him im sure quite few have not either.

He did an amazing job with the Penguin. You couldn't even tell it was him unless you knew before hand. Curious what he'll have for lines and if they'll just have him do his normal voice or actually try, like with the Penguin.

i would say i dislike them for the same reasons. stupid, predictable plot, bad acting, lousy script, and poor directing. you people do realize that the people that wrote the last Star Trek movie are the same no-talents that wrote the Transformers movies, right?

i realize i live in a time when everyone is so ADHD that they need easy-to-follow stories and lots of special effects to hold their attention periodically between text messages, but that doesn't mean all of us have lost our higher brain function. i appreciate movies (and games) for quality, not typical action, drama, and special effects. i'm not 12 anymore.

I find it interesting you didn't deny you like romantic comedies, so you do like them. I knew it. Well, I guess mature people are interested in relationships and scatter cushions.

actually i did say i dislike romantic comedies. i said i dislike both for the same reasons. but why you people taking this so personally? you can like whatever you want. interesting you bring up citizen kane cuz it is a remarkable movie.

i just happen to like movies where the story is deep and enriching, where the special effects are there to help tell the story (not there to distract from the lack of story), where the actors and director really have a sense of the characters and settings, where the director overcomes unique challenges to film the movie in an interesting way (not just with flat angles in front of a green screen)etc... the star trek movie just isn't any of those things...much like most movies, including romcoms.

i do like comedies though. some of the best movies ever made have been comedies. Eg. The Big Lebowski and Back to the Future.

There have been some great action movies, too. It's just that, for the most part, movies like that have been on a decline ever since Jurassic Park in 1994. Where special effects once were used to compliment a story, they are now used to supplement it.

Well, that's my last bubble and i've said what i want to say. Feel free to continue putting words in my mouth and taking it personally that i don't like something that you do. that's pretty much par for the course around here.

EDIT: I lied, one last thing. "accomplished" is not the word i would use to describe these writers. established would be a better word. yeah, they are popular, but would you describe Stephenie Meyer as accomplished? i sure as hell wouldn't.
