Even though Capcom had confirmed the VR mode on June 22 when they originally announced the game, it’s quite disappointing for the fans to know that the development for the mode has started fairly late. Nevertheless, the late development announcement sets one thing straight: we won’t be able to play the Remake on VR at the time of release.
How Will VR Mode Change Resident Evil 4 Remake?
It’s quite probable the introduction of the VR mode may slightly change how the game plays out, introducing some extra VR elements which may immerse the players in the game. We have a hunch that the game mode might use Resident Evil 4 Remake’s Mercenaries mode as the foundation and build on top of that.
Nevertheless, since Capcom confirmed that the PSVR2 mode would allow players the complete campaign experience, we can’t wait to see how sick this will look, considering the PSVR2’s modern haptics and new eye-tracking features.
