In Dredge, players can trigger the Lost Dog Pursuit by interacting with a Stray Dog located on the eastern side of Stellar Basin. Location To Take the Stray Dog in Dredge
Once the Stray Dog becomes an item, and you must give up some cargo space on your ship to fit the doggo. Once onboard, head towards the Old Fortress, at D5, where the Research Assistant stays. Sail to that location, speak to the assistant, and select the new choice that appears this dog needs a home.
Where To Find the Stray Dog in Dredge
The Stray Dog can be located at F2 in Stellar Basin in Dredge. Finding the dog is not enough. You must earn the doggo’s trust through a series of choices to earn the dog’s friendship. Once you earn its friendship, it will become an item.

How to Gain the Stray Dog’s Trust in Dredge
There may be many choices that work, but here are the choices that worked for us.
- Throw some fish toward the dog.
- Slowly approach.
- Call for the dog.
- Hold out some fish in your hand.
- Pat the dog. (x2)
- Leave.
What Are the Rewards for Completing the Stray Dog Pursuit in Dredge?
You don’t get much for rescuing the Stray Dog and completing the Stray Dog Pursuit, as all you get is a Sapphire Ring that you can sell to the Trader in Little Marrow. It may not be much, but would you have really left that poor dog on its own?
If you want to, you do not have to complete this pursuit and, instead, keep the Stay Dog on your boat for all time. Sure, it’ll take up some cargo space, but you’ll have a friendly companion to cuddle when the panic sets in sailing at night!
