Diablo 4 players who have played the previous entry to the Diablo series, Diablo Immortal, might know about world bosses. Insanely large bosses that an entire player party must band together to beat.
Well, Ashava the Pestilent is one such world boss who requires you to meet specific requirements before you can face him. We’re here to review those requirements so you can find and hopefully beat Ashava the Pestilent.
Where To Find Ashava the Pestilent in Diablo IV
As mentioned above, Ashava the Pestilent is a world boss, and that means she isn’t found in any dungeons or quests. On the contrary, you can only find her in an open world area, and that too during specific times.
The thing about world bosses is that players get notified exactly thirty minutes before a world boss is about to spawn. Because of this, it’s impossible to manipulate which world boss will come at what time.
For example, during the March beta, it was possible to fight Ashave at the following times:
- March 18 at 10am, 12pm, 10pm, and midnight PDT
- March 25 at 10am, 12pm, 10pm, and midnight PDT
- March 26 at midnight PDT

However, when the notification for Ashava the Pestilent does pop up, the rest is rather easy. All you have to do is go to the designated area marked on the map via the quest, and you’ll find a large hole in the ground. As soon as the countdown at the right side of your screen reaches zero, the screen will zoom out and the boss will emerge.
Tips For Beating Ashava
Now, seeing as how Ashava is a world boss, she has her own world boss level, which is exclusive to these types of enemies only. Because of this, it’s possible for up to 12 players to fight her at once. As a matter of fact, it’s recommended that you have a party of 12 players when going against her since beating her definitely isn’t a walk in the park. Because of this, it might be a good idea to check if Diablo 4 is cross play
With that being said, although you can expect to die a couple of times the first few times you face her, as soon as you get her attack pattern down, you’ll find that Ashava isn’t all that hard. Especially if you know how to switch weapons to gain an advantage.

Perhaps the most dangerous attack she uses is when she first reaches out to the left and then spins around, dealing heavy damage to any player unfortunate enough to get hit. Luckily, to avoid it, you must get close to the boss.
Additionally, when Ashava gets close to death, she jumps to a random location to reposition herself and then does a double-hand slam. This attack is extremely dangerous because of the amount of damage it does, but it’s rather simple to avoid as long as you’re either far from her or near her legs.
Of course, we’re expecting the developers to come out with a bunch of new world bosses, so if you want to be in the know about how to find any future world bosses, be sure to stay on N4G Unlocked!
