The Spring Breakout Challenge is in full swing in Fortnite, and players are working hard to collect the Easter cosmetics from this year. Finding and hiring a specialist character is one of the quests for this event. There are many strewn across the map, and hiring one once is all that is needed to complete the quest.
For players looking for their quest completion, this guide will show players where they can find every specialist character on the map, as well as what players will need to hire them, and what benefits the characters provide.
Where are all the Specialist Characters in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?
There are eight new specialist characters on the island. Their positions are marked on the map below:
Their specific locations are as follows:
- Polar Patroller – Icy Islets
- Insight – Cold Cavern
- Longshot – Royal Ruin
- Remedy – Secluded Spire
- Garrison – Watery Watch
- Sludge – Steamy Springs
- Munitions Expert – Breakwater Bay
- Triage Trooper – Crusty Crates
Any one of the specialists can be hired to complete the quest in Chapter 4 Season 2. However, there are four types of specialist, and each type confers their own kinds of benefits when hired. Each specialist requires gold bars to hire, so players will need to be prepared. Players interested will want to learn about each type, so that they may better understand which type would help them most in battle.

How to Hire a Scout Specialist in Fortnite
- Approach either Longshot at Royal Ruin or Insight at Cold Cavern
- Pay the Specialist 250 gold bars
The Scout Specialist acts as a hired gun, wielding a sniper rifle and shooting foes. Every 45 seconds they will also ping all enemies and chests in the area near the player.
How to Hire a Heavy Specialist in Fortnite
- Approach either Sludge at Steamy Springs or Polar Patroller at Icy Islets
- Pay the Specialist 200 gold bars
Once players have hired a heavy specialist, they will follow the player and throw grenades at any nearby enemies. There are also immune to fire, making them more durable than other Specialists.
How to Hire a Medic Specialist in Fortnite
- Approach either Remedy at Secluded Spire or Triage Trooper at Crusty Crates
- Pay the Specialist 250 gold bars
Hired Medic Specialists will follow the player and throw Chug Splash Cans at them whenever the player dips below 150 health.
How to Hire a Supply Specialist in Fortnite
- Approach either Garrison at Watery Watch or Munitions Expert at Breakwater Bay
- Pay the Specialist 200 gold bars
Once hired, Supply Specialists will constantly leave ammo, materials, and grenades for the player to pick up.
