A new game taking place in the Wizarding World was just announced by Warner Bros. Games on Twitter today, entitled Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions. Developed by Unbroken Studios and published by Portkey Games, the new title will finally bring the sport of Quidditch to life in a competitive online experience.
After Warner Bros. and Portkey Games denied rumors that a DLC featuring the popular wizarding sport would be brought to this year’s earlier release, Hogwarts Legacy, fans were understandably disappointed. However, it looks like we’re set to receive a standalone game that will allow players to fully experience all the game of Quidditch has to offer.
So, when can we expect Quidditch Champions to release? Let’s cover the information we received in today’s announcement for the new game.
What is the Release Date for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions?
At present, an official release date for Quidditch Champions is still in the works and has not yet been announced. For now, we’ll need to wait on more information as developments are made, but we don’t expect a release in 2023, and may see Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions in the latter half of 2024.
We haven’t received much information at all following the announcement for Quidditch Champions today, as much is still in development. However, Warner Bros. Games has set up an FAQ page for those with additional questions about the game’s release.

Where Can I Play Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions?
Much of Quidditch Champions in still in development, but Warner Bros. Games is currently offering limited playtests. The game is set to be available on PC and unspecified consoles.
According to Warner Bros. Games, you can register to participate in these playtests on the website for the game, which is done by entering your birthdate. Although, signing up does not guarantee entry, as detailed in the official FAQ for Quidditch Champions.
It’s also stated that there will be additional playtests in the future. Fortunately, this means if you don’t make the cut for early playtests, you’ll still have a chance to enter and play at a later time.
