After years and years of waiting, we finally have some concrete information, as Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 release window is revealed by the devs.
Vampire: The Masquerade started off as a tabletop RPG, where you play as, surprise, surprise, vampires in a (usually) modern setting. Its detailed system of vampire Clans, the struggle with humanity, and dark atmosphere became so popular that there is rarely a tabletop roleplayer who hasn’t at least heard of V: TM and the World of Darkness. It has spawned a video game series (and a very obscure but pretty cool TV show), which began with Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption in June of 2000. The sequel, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines (2004), is arguably one of the best vampire games out there. The third major installment, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, was announced years ago and was teased and postponed numerous times, so a lot of players simply gave up on it. But now, we have some official confirmation from the devs.
The Devs Revealed the Release Window for Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
On March 26, World of Darkness (owned by Paradox Interactive) released a game update video about V: TM – Bloodlines 2. In the video, Marco Behrmann, the Executive Vice President of World of Darkness and the Executive Producer on Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, revealed some important info.
“The status of the game right now is that the game is done. We are currently focusing on bug fixing, stability, and performance, so we can deliver the best experience to you guys once it releases. Bloodline 2 will release in October this year.”
At first, we expected the game to release in the first half of 2025, but Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room want to make sure that everything is running properly before they release the game.
“Bloodlines 2 will launch in October 2025 when the game meets the technical quality standards that you, our fans, rightfully expect and deserve. Please stay tuned for the game’s exact launch date.”
It is commendable that the devs want to ensure the game’s quality and not rush to release it as soon as possible. Hopefully, Bloodlines 2 will have an awesome story like its predecessors.
