The recent changes in Valorant have left many wondering about Jett’s Breeze strategy. Even after significant nerfs, Jett can still reach the pinnacle of Breeze’s pyramids, showcasing her adaptability. Jett mains were devastated when they discovered their beloved Valorant agent would face nerfs at the start of Episode 7 Act 2. However, they’re quickly finding alternative tactics, particularly on the revamped Breeze map.
One of the most substantial nerfs Jett experienced was her Updraft ability, which dropped from two charges to just one. Updraft didn’t just offer Jett additional mobility to complement her Blade Storm ultimate and let her access elevated spots on the map that many other agents couldn’t. Her gameplay has become more restricted with only one Updraft (coupled with the rest of her nerfed abilities).
For instance, previously, Jett could easily use Updraft to get atop Breeze’s A site pyramids. But now, she can’t reach that height with only one charge. Nevertheless, just after the patch 7.04 release on August 29, a player revealed a technique on how Jett could climb the pyramid without using Updraft.
Executing this maneuver involves utilizing Jett’s passive Drift ability and continuously crouching. The advantage? Jett’s Drift doesn’t cost a dime, so players don’t spend credits or charges like with Updraft.
Sure, you would want to avoid getting atop the pyramid amidst a firefight, but this strategy proves invaluable for positioning Jett at the round’s onset.
While Jett enthusiasts view this as a minor triumph amidst the extensive nerfs, there’s growing concern that this might be a glitch that Riot will patch. Some fans have even suggested removing such posts to prevent Riot from spotting the exploit.
