How to remove Valorant from your PC
Uninstalling Valorant is not as easy as you might think. If you try to uninstall Valorant directly you will be hit with an error message. To uninstall Valorant you will first need to disable and then uninstall Vanguard, Riot’s anti-cheat program.
How to disable Vanguard
Before uninstalling Vanguard you will first have to disable it:
- In the system tray (located on the bottom right side of the screen) you will find the Riot Vanguard icon.
- Right-click on the icon and choose Exit Vanguard.
- You will be asked do you want to continue. Clicking on Yes will end Vanguard’s activities.
How to uninstall Vanguard and Valorant
With Vanguard no longer running in the background, you will be able to uninstall Valorant. Follow these steps to complete the procedure:
- Click on the Windows icon on the taskbar or press the Windows button.
- In the search bar type Add or Remove Program, then click to run it.
- Find Riot Vanguard and right-clicking on it select Uninstall.
- Finish the uninstall process following on-screen instructions.
- After Vanguard has been uninstalled you can follow the same process to uninstall Valorant.
