Unicorn Overlord is the latest project from publishers ATLUS and SEGA and developer Vanillaware. In the past, we’ve received similar titles from the team, including Odin Sphere and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, the response to which bodes well for the newest game. Recently released, Unicorn Overlord follows Alain, the crown prince of Cornia. In a tactical RPG format, you’ll explore the far-reaching lands of Fevrith and recruit an army to take down a fearsome emperor. You can start the demo on console now, but will the game arrive on Steam at launch? Here’s what we know.

Is Unicorn Overlord Available on Steam?
Unfortunately, Unicorn Overlord is not available to play on Steam. The tactical RPG from ATLUS and SEGA launched on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch consoles on March 8, leaving PC gamers out of the loop. Furthermore, no other PC option (besides Steam) is available.
Is Unicorn Overlord Coming to Steam in the Future?
ATLUS currently has no plans to release Unicorn Overlord on Steam. This is a trend we are now seeing continued after developer Vanillaware’s 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and Odin Sphere received the same treatment. Despite this, some fans are holding out hope.
There is some speculation that we may see the game expand to PC and Xbox One post-launch. This is because both platforms were listed on co-publisher SEGA’s support page. However, these rumors remain unconfirmed. For now, it seems we’re looking at a console-exclusive release. We’ll update with more news as it’s announced by the game’s development team.
