You can Customize the appearance of your Descendant in many ways. From the expected ones, like Body and Head Skins, to more detailed ones, like Make Up and Back Attachments. On the topic of the latter, Nexon has just teased a new Back Attachment and everyone went hiss-terical.

Nexon Celebrates International Cat Day

August 8 is International Cat Day and the developers of The First Descendant shared a post on X, showing a picture of a cat carrier Back Attachment, with an adorable orange cat in it. They posted: “Meet our adorable in-game feline friend. Share your favorite in-game cat moments with us.”

As you’d expect, the fans went crazy about it. The fact that they said: “Share your favorite in-game cat moments…” alludes to the possibility of cats making an appearance in the game. We already have bear cubs and hamsters, so the only sensible thing to do is to add cats, right? Teasing a cat Attachment and not giving it to players is straight up barbaric.

Is it Paw-ssible to Get This Back Attachment?

Naturally, everyone asks the same question: How to get this cat-backpack? Comments like ‘How do I get it?”, “is that free? it should be…”, “Imagine u guys made this a tiny event and not a shop item”, and “EXCUSE ME WHAT I NEED THIS HELLO????” are literally flooding the comment section of the original post. Quite a cat-astrophe, some would say. The absolute best comment is from Koreyzzz, stating: “Twitter person that runs this account you can not show a cat and not give us a way of having said cat in the game you are running the twitter for.”

Now in all seriousness, it is unbelievable they would go through it all while not offering this Back Attachment to players. Either as a gift for the holiday or as a purchasable cosmetic. Players are completely fine with paying for it, but ask to be able to change the color/type of the cat (to better match their own furry pal). User Petra Venj said it best: “I swear this best not cost £20. Because I will buy it.”

From our side, at the moment of writing, the Cat Carrier Back Attachment is not available in the shop. But be sure we will update this article as soon as anything new appears. Finally, the most important question is: will we get puppies on August 26?
