The First Descendant Best Yujin Build

The First Descendant Yujin annoyed

Yujin is the designated healer of the game. While healing is not that necessary on low and mid levels, Yujin shines on the higher-difficulty ones. Descendants rarely provide any significant healing in any way, so a good Yujin on your team will work wonders. As you’d expect, he uses his Skills more than weapons, so this is another Skill-focused build. On that topic, let’s see what is the best build for Yujin in The First Descendant.

Yujin Skills

  • Stop Overreacting (Passive) – Significantly reduces the time to rescue allies. Targets rescued by Yujin gain increases to Max HP for a certain period of time.
  • Solidarity Healing – Summons a Recovery Drone that attaches to allies to heal them. Recovers target and increases their ATK through an Accelerant effect upon dismissal.
  • Restructure Serum – Fires a Restructure Serum forward, decreasing DEF and inflicting Allergy. When attacking enemies with Allergy, heals nearby allies and grants additional healing to allies who kill the enemy.
  • Stimulant Spray – Grants Stimulation to allies. While Stimulation is active, incoming DMG is reduced and recovery is received when Stimulation ends.
  • Hyperreactive Healing Ground – Heals self and allies, granting Purification and Immunity to remove and prevent debuffs. Additional recovery is based on the number of allies and enemies within range. Yujin is granted Hyper Activity effect, increasing his ATK and skill power.

Best Yujin Build

Being the medic of the group, the best build for Yujin should improve his Skills as much as possible. We are talking about improving Skill Power, Cooldowns, Healing amount, and everything else along those lines. Yujin is not there to deal any significant damage, so the usual “meta” weapons trio will be enough. Now, let’s see what are the best items for Yujin for each equipment category: Weapon (and Weapon Modules), Descendant Modules, Reactor, and External Components.

Best Weapon for Yujin in The First Descendant

Yujin is predominantly there to heal his teammates, not do any crazy amounts of damage. Therefore you won’t have to rely on any special weapon combinations. Going with today’s “meta” is a safe bet. We will be using the weapons that are generally good in every situation. Let’s start off with everyone’s favorite Thunder Cage. This SMG is one of the best weapons for clearing out groups of enemies, so with it, you can keep them away from your team, while they deal with more powerful targets.

Another good option for Yujin is the Divine Punishment Assault Rifle. This weapon will grant you additional bonuses when you buff your allies (increased DEF) or heal them (reduced Skill Cooldown reduction).

Weapon Modules

It is safe to go with Weapon Modules that generally improve your weapon, like increased ATK, Reload Speed, Critical Hits, Fire Rate, and Accuracy. With all that in mind, these are the best Weapon Modules for Yujin:

Weapon ModuleEffect
Rifling ReinforcementImproves weapon’s ATK
Hawk-EyeImproves weapon’s Accuracy
Reload ConcentrationImproves weapon’s Critical Hit damage and Reload speed
Fire Rate UpImproves weapon’s Fire Rate
Weak Point SightImproves weapon’s Weak Point damage

All of these Modules will work great on any weapon you might wield as Yujin.

Descendant Modules

Yujin uses his Skills to heal his squad, so the best Descendant Modules for him are those that improve those Skills. We will take Modules that allow him to keep his healing up for as long as possible, and as often as possible. Lastly, we’ll take some defensive buffs in order to keep Yujin himself alive. He can’t heal if he’s downed, after all.

The best Descendant Modules for Yujin are:

Reactor

Reactors buff your Skill Power, and since Yujin is there to use his Skills as much as possible, it is imperative that you get the right Reactor. Reactors have to correspond with the Descendant’s Skills, their type and subtype. Yujin’s skills all have the Non-Attribute type, so a Reactor that boosts Non-Attribute Skills is needed. Those are “Materialized” Reactors.

As for the subtypes, Yujin’s Skills are either Singular (Solidarity Healing and Stimulant Spray) or Fusion (Restructure Serum and Hyperreactive Healing Ground). So, we need Reactors that either have Singularity (for Singular) or Mixture (for Fusion) in their title.

All in all, since Yujin should focus on his healing abilities, the best Reactor for him is a Materialized Mixture Reactor.

External Components

Each Descendant uses External Components for some neat defensive buffs. Since we want Yujin to stay alive to heal his teammates, a couple of defensive improvements are in order. Remember that Components are RNG, ie, you cannot farm them, they are a random drop, so you need a bit of luck on your side.

The best External Components for Yujin are those that improve HP Recovery, Max HP, Max Shields, and DEF.

Yujin is a team player and an invaluable asset in the late game. He can keep his squad healed up, so you better get Ajax to protect him as much as he can.
