Mixed Energy Residue is one of the materials used to create Crystallization Catalyst in The First Descendant. Because of this, it is one of the most important late-game materials and to create the best possible build, players will have to farm a lot of it. Although this is a highly sought-after material, there are two methods players can use to farm large amounts. So stick with us, and we will explain the best ways to farm Mixed Energy Residue in the game.
The Best Ways to Farm Mixed Energy Residue in The First Descendant
To most efficiently farm Mixed Energy Residue in the game, players can use two different methods. One way to get this material is to locate and open Encrypted Vaults, and another is to do missions and hope for it to drop. Luckily for us, the best missions and Vaults that drop Mixed Energy Residue are all located in the Agna Desert. To be more specific, the Vermilion Waste of the Agna Desert. Also, make sure to check all the storage boxes located in this area, since they also have a very small chance to drop Mixed Energy Residue.
Encrypted Vaults
All Encrypted Vaults that can be located in Vermilion Waste will drop some Mixed Energy Residue. Moreover, if this is the way you want to go, we recommend using an Enzo character. This Descendant’s Shoot Support Passive ability is the only one that gives an advantage when opening Encrypted Vaults. Not to mention that this ability also boosts the amount of resources gained from vaults.
Vermilion Waste Missions
On the other hand, if players do not have Enzo and opening vaults is not their forte, they can run missions and get the Mixed Energy Residue that way. Two missions, in particular, give the best chance for this and are both located in Vermilion Waste. The first one is the Baggage Transport Base where every enemy has the potential to drop Mixed Energy Residuel.
The second one is a Rock Cave Base mission. This is a pretty short mission that can be done in under a minute and will give players a chance to receive Mixed Energy Residue upon its completion. Because of this, it can be run over and over until players get the desired amount of Mixed Energy Residue.
