How Do You Block in Street Fighter 6?
Blocking an attack by an opponent is incredibly simple in Street Fighter 6 regardless of platform. Players can block by moving the control stick away from their opponent. This can be done with a controller across PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players using a keyboard on PC will have to use the A and D keys depending on which way their character is facing.
Blocking can protect players from damage, though simply pulling back on the analog stick will only protect any attacks tot he upper body. Low punches and kicks can be blocked by holding the stick down and away diagonally, causing the fighter to block while crouching.
How To Drive Parry
Drive Parry is another term for parry in SF6, and works the same as a simple parry would do. A parry is a counter to an opponent’s attack by deflecting the move and then counter-attacking.
Players can parry by pressing the medium kick and medium punch buttons at the same time. Players can also perform a perfect parry by executing the parry at the right time just before the attack lands. A perfect parry is more stylized than a simple parry.
Both blocking and parrying will deplete the Drive Bar, and players will receive increased damage once it is empty. The bar does refill automatically over time during as match or when the player successfully dodges.
