Star Wars Jedi Survivor – How To Turn off Spiders

Cal Fighting a Spider

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an upcoming game that has caught the attention of many players. As its release draws near, some fans have noticed that some aliens take the shape of spiders. With many having a deep fear of these eight-legged creatures, this may hinder progression for these players. This is known as Arachnophobia, and some developers have implemented ways to reduce this fear.

Arachnophobia is a common phobia that affects many individuals and can deter them from playing certain games that feature giant spider enemies. However, game developers have started incorporating accessibility options to cater to players with this fear with an Arachnophobia Mode. That leaves the question of will Jedi Survivor include the option to turn off spiders?

More N4G Unlocked: Is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Canon?

In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, removing spider enemies through the Arachnophobia setting seems to eliminate them from the game, potentially affecting the XP and loot they would have provided, which can limit your upgrades to health and Force. While removing spiders may bring relief to players with arachnophobia, it could mean they potentially miss out on valuable in-game resources and the absence of spider boss encounters. If you are worried about this, new game plus mode would be a good place to face your fears as you will be more powerful when facing spider enemies or simply keep your distance and throw your lightsaber to finish them.

What is Arachnophobia Mode in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?

The Arachnophobia Mode gained attention and traction after the popular multiplayer survival game, Grounded, introduced it. It allowed players to lessen the visual appearance of spiders to varying degrees. This reduced the intimidation of the in-game arachnids, making them less frightening. Other developers have introduced various versions of this, from reducing the spiderness or outright removing them.
