Once you get the Rebreather and Rope Gun, it’s time to finally head for that shovel. The shovel will be located deep in a cave at the center of the map, shown below.

This cave is easy to distinguish from the others, as it will have its entrance almost submerged in water, and in that shallow water, there will be three dead bodies impaled with spikes and left as a warning.

The cave will have an insane amount of creatures that want you dead, so be prepared or bring a friend for backup.

First, use the rope gun to cross the entrance, then run until you find water and dive into it. After a long and harsh run through the cave following the purple crystals, you will end up at a corpse of a dead excavator in a yellow vest.

The shovel will be the loot on his corpse, claim it and head straight back out.
