Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 Senua walking through a dark forest

The long-anticipated adventure game from Ninja Theory has finally been released. Read on to see how long does it take to beat Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2

Hellblade 2 is a sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, a popular psychological adventure game from 2017. It continues the story of Senua, this time bringing the fight to the Viking raiders who plundered and destroyed her home and killed her lover. The first game was praised for its stunning visuals and an engaging storyline. However, it didn’t take too long to finish it. Is that the case with the sequel? Let’s find out. Let’s see how long it takes to beat Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2: How Long Does it Take to Beat the Game

On average, it takes about six to seven hours to beat Hellblade 2. That is similar to the length of the first game. Some fast players managed to beat the game in just over five hours, and if you stop to look for all the collectibles, to get the Achievements, it will take you around eight or nine hours to complete it. The difficulty you are playing the game in can also be a factor in the completion time.

This has caused a bit of a hubbub in the gaming community, as some gamers are not quite satisfied with the length of the game, compared to its price. But, fans of the previous game are praising the developers for sticking to their formula of a very immersive, albeit shorter, gaming experience. The game is very engaging, and a longer completion time may start to take its toll and make everything drag for longer than necessary.

Are There Side Quests in Hellblade 2?

The story in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is pretty linear, with little to no side quests. There are a couple of deviations from the trail, mainly to get those collectibles, but the overall gameplay is straightforward. And, for a game that focuses on the story and immersion, it is not that big of a deal. It is not an open-world game, there is no need to waste your time with anything other than the main story. The developers had a strict vision of what kind of experience they wanted to give the players, and they delivered. Some gamers may not like it, but there is something fresh in a modern game that you can casually finish on a weekend.
