Is Ubisoft Connect Required to Play Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown?
Unfortunately, the answer isn’t quite as simple as yes or no, as it does seem to depend entirely on your platform. Specifically, PC gamers have reported that they must use an active Ubisoft Connect account and install several other programs to play Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. With the title’s Early Access launch on January 15, players have taken to Reddit to air their concerns regarding the game’s unequal installation process.
The original poster has since deleted their initial comment, but other users have chimed in with details about their experience downloading the game. PC versions require Ubisoft Connect, Denuvo Anti-Tamper, and VMProtect DRM, while those on other platforms haven’t been prompted to install additional programs with their download.
Understandably, this has left many hopeful players dismayed before they’ve even had the chance to play.
