Ghost of Yotei Gets Stunning Limited Edition PS5 Covers from Sony Inspired By Traditional Japanese Art Forms

It is always great when designers do the extra work to make their products as authentic as possible. That is happening with Ghost of Yotei and Sony, as they have announced some stunning limited edition PS5 covers, inspired by traditional Japanese art forms.
Ghost of Yotei is back in the spotlight. They announced the special Collector’s Edition (even though some fans are not too happy with it) some days ago, and then only recently they announced another deep dive into the game, during the State of Play. And now, the latest news is more of a cosmetic nature, as Sony just announced the special, limited edition PS5 covers, inspired by Ghost of Yotei and traditional Japanese art. It is worth taking a look at.
Ghost of Yōtei Gets Stunning Limited Edition PS5 Covers from Sony
Sony has officially unveiled a set of limited edition PS5 covers and DualSense controller designs inspired by the upcoming Ghost of Yōtei, and fans of the game’s traditional Japanese aesthetic are already in love with them. There is the Gold and the Black version. The first one is inspired by the famous Japanese art form, kintsugi, the tradition of repairing broken things with gold. The Black version is inspired by the less flashy but still traditional art form called Sumi-e, which is the use of black ink on paintings.
The set includes the following items: the brand-new PS5 console (with a disk reader) with a special DualSense controller, covers for PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro, and separate DualSense controllers. Of course, all of these come in either gold or black.
According to the official PlayStation Blog, the limited edition designs will be available on the game’s launch, October 2, but the pre-orders will start before that. Unfortunately, Sony has not revealed exactly when, but said that the pre-order information will be “shared at a later date”.

No word yet on how long stock will last, but if past PlayStation drops are anything to go by, fans will need to move fast, as the stock will be limited. So, keep your eyes peeled!
