Death Stranding 2 Is Now the Highest-Rated Game on PlayStation Store

Kojima fans rejoice, as Death Stranding 2 is now the highest-rated game on PlayStation Store.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is not even a week old and is already having a major impact on the gaming world. The sequel to Kojima’s Death Stranding from 2019, On the Beach is getting praises from everywhere, and even Hideo Kojima himself stated that he is pretty happy with the reception. Even though the fans have issues with the Collector’s Edition, the players love it, and that can be seen in the PlayStation Store as Death Stranding 2 is now the highest-rated game out there.

Death Stranding 2 Is Now the Highest-Rated Game on PlayStation Store

Gamers are really in for a treat these last couple of months, as we get smashing hits one after the other. Just two months ago, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 broke all the charts and, to everyone’s surprise, became the top-rated game on PlayStation Store, with an incredibly impressive rating of 4.92 (which has dropped to 4.91 by now).

But now, a new challenger enters, in the form of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Kojima’s latest masterpiece managed to surpass Clair Obscur’s score and get the enviable score of 4.93, according to 12.000 different ratings, making it the highest-rated game in the Store now.

Truth be told, both of these games are absolute masterpieces (though their respective reviewers from IGN would beg to differ), and the very close rating scores only prove that even further. Interestingly enough, both of these games are single-player, which goes to show that gamers are maybe a bit tired of all the multiplayer stuff we’ve been fed over the last couple of years. Hopefully, the success of Clar Obscur and definitely of Death Stranding 2 will inspire developers to try and give us more quality single-player games like these, instead of making just another multiplayer shooter in hopes of a quick cash grab.

In any case, hats off to Mr. Kojima and his team for getting to the top. They truly deserved it!
