The official release is getting closer and closer, so just how much space will it take? Well, the file size for Death Stranding 2 just leaked, so you’d better get ready.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is scheduled to be released on June 26. With fans waiting for years for the sequel, those 20 days will pass in no time. The hype is very real, and the game even got its special edition DualSense Controller. As for the game itself, Kojima used the effects of the infamous COVID-19 pandemic as an inspiration for the narrative, and this time, Death Stranding will be a bit more action-oriented, but allowing you great freedom in choosing how to approach and overcome enemies (head on, stealth, complete avoidance, etc). It will only be playable on PS5, and naturally, it will look way better on the PS5 Pro. But, as for the technicalities, a new question arises? How much disk space will we need? Well, some new leaks can answer that.

Death Stranding 2 File Size Just Leaked

In the last couple of days, leaks started appearing about the supposed disk space that you’ll need. And now, according to Maxime Chao, the editor-in-chief of JeuxActu, the required disk size for Death Stranding 2 will be about 92.80 GB.

PS5 consoles have about 700GB of usable storage space, but this is usually full to the brim. Death Stranding 2’s disk size, while not out of this world, is pretty hefty, meaning that the majority of players will have to choose which games to remove to clear up some disk space. For the record, the famous Forza Horizon 5 requires about 130 GB of disk space on PS5, so things could’ve been worse.

Of course, take this with a grain of salt, as we are still waiting for official confirmation. But, 92GB does sound like it is somewhere in the ballpark.
