Palworld took the scene by storm when it first appeared, back in January 2024. It seems that “Pokemon-with-guns” was really something that the gaming scene needed. It had over 2 million concurrent players when it was released, but over time, the numbers dwindled, as they usually do. But now, a new update is right around the corner, and we expect a resurgence of players, due to all the cool stuff Pocketpair announced. So, let’s see the release date for Palworld Sakurajima and all the upcoming features.

Sakurajima Release Date

The release date of Palworld Sakurajima is June 27, 2024. It is already released on Steam, and the Xbox version will soon follow.

Palworld Sakurajima Features

In this new update, there are a lot of fixes and balance changes. There is also an increase in the Pal Box capacity, a significant improvement to base-building to make it easier, the addition of Hats for your Pals, and many more. Here are some of the most significant new features.

New Island

Sakurajima is a new island that appeared in Palworld. It is home to many new Pals and is controlled by the new faction – The Moonflowers.

Arena

The long-awaited Arena has finally appeared. It is a multiplayer-exclusive activity, and you can find it in Desiccated Desert.

New Resources

• Crude Oil – You can now become an Oil Magnate, by placing Crude Oil Extractors over certain spots on the Island.
• Plasteel – Using the aforementioned Crude Oil, you can make Plasteel and use it to craft high-tier items.

Meteorites

A new event where meteors and other items wall from the sky. There is even talk that some Pals “from outer space” may drop.

New Merchant

There is a new Medal Merchant, who exchanges Dog Coins (also a new item) for rare items.

New Items and Weapons

• Mysterious Accessory Box – Permanently increases the number of accessory slots by 1
• Concentrated All-Purpose Pal Extract – Increases the rank of a Pal by 1 when used
• Ring of Freight – Increases your carrying weight when equipped
• Vital Remedy, Stamina Remedy, Might Remedy, Speed Remedy, Burden Remedy – These new remedies permanently strengthen the player’s base stats

New Building

• Cold Food Box – Feed your Pals while keeping your food nice and cool

• Pal Disassembly Conveyor – Get rid of unwanted Pals automatically! Your heart will hurt less this way…
• Wall-Mounted Sign – Make notes without taking up too much space
• Refrigerated Crusher – An upgraded Crusher that can break down various items into different items

Lockpicking

A new feature is here that allows you to open locked treasure chests. It requires a Lockpicking Tool and you have to complete a special mini-game to unlock those chests.

Pal Skins

You can now change your Pals’ skins in the new “Pal Dressing Facility”. Moreover, all players get the “Sunglasses Cattiva” skin, with more skills coming in the future.

New Pasive Skills

• Philanthropist – Greatly reduces the time required to produce eggs
• Impatient – Reduced cooldown on active skills
• Infinite Stamina – Increased stamina (Only on mountable Pals)
• Noble – Pals with this passive will give you an advantage when trading with merchants
• Nocturnal – Pals with this passive become nocturnal and will work throughout the night
