The latest update for Palworld dropped on June 27 and it brought a lot of cool features, including some useful new traits. Overwhelmed by the abundance of new items, maybe even by some bugs, the players reached out to the community and asked for help in choosing the best traits for their Pals. Thankfully, the community didn’t disappoint and offered some great advice.
Players Already Deem Some New Traits As Meta
One Redditor, Ace-Tyranitar, named two new traits as the best. They said: “There is a new trait [Serenity] that gives 30% cooldown reduction on active moves + 10% attack. It’s very good on Pals that can’t be mounted, so pals like Bellanoir Libero are major abusers. There is also a new trait [Nocturnal] that lets any Pal behave like a Dark type in base (so they don’t need to sleep at night), it’s a must-have on any working Pal”.
Infamous-Physics-116 explained: “It’s all very heavily dependent on the Pal, but the new meta seems to be Musclehead, Legend, Ferocious/Burly Body, and Serenity, with alterations depending on the Pal”. This player listed some of their favorite combinations: “Dazzi: Musclehead, Legend, Eternal Flame, Lord of Lightning. Paladius: Legend, Celestial Emperor, Musclehead, Serenity. Necromus: Legend, Lord of the Underworld, Musclehead, Serenity”.
Obviously, the number of combinations is enormous. We’d suggest trying out different ones for yourself, half the fun lies in experimenting. Also, it’s good to remember that the traits are transferred through breeding, meaning that having a variety of traits rather than sticking to the same set every time might grant you a completely new set of traits in the next generation.
Palworld Community Doesn’t Gatekeep Useful Information
One Redditor, Viking_Drummer, understood the assignment. They gave an in-depth analysis. This player said: “Combat pals: Legend / Musclehead / Serenity / Ferocious. Or one of the elemental buffs bred down from Legendary bosses, or Burly Body. Working pals: Artisan / Serious / Work Slave / Nocturnal”.
They explained: “First 3 traits buff work speed, Nocturnal lets them work at night. If they’re a Dark type they’ll work at night anyway so I just stick Swift on those so they move around faster. If the Pal is going in the ranch then Artisan/Serious doesn’t do anything for them, so instead pick Diet Lover/Dainty Eater or speed traits like Swift/Runner (to run back after eating faster). Mounts: Legend / Swift / Infinite Stamina / Runner”.
