After the initial hype over the latest patch died down, and the players explored lots of exciting additions, the Palworld community is once again looking for new ways to challenge themselves and keep the game fun. Known as one of the most tight-knit gaming communities, the members are always ready to jump in and help out. Now, the more experienced Palworld players share the ways you could keep the gameplay fresh and interesting between updates.

Trying a Palworld Challenge is Always an Interesting Addition to the Gameplay

One devoted player, Mooglemonkey, took to Reddit to share their ideas on how to enjoy the game even after that initial spark was gone. They noted: “I really enjoy slowing down the progress early in the game, it makes me appreciate things more when I unlock them. I’m currently keeping half XP so that the levels feel like they matter more”.

They added: “I’m also doing a loose nuzlocke, where if a Pal dies, I can’t use them anymore and they are butchered. I also turned up the hunger for Pals and myself so I had to actually go hunting early game to feed everyone. What other challenges are people doing to keep the game fresh?”.

Another player, dreamon93, shared that they do Nocturnal/Dark-only runs. The biggest pro to this challenge is that the Pals work 24/7. But, one glaring con is that you have to beat the Raid Bosses only with Dark types. This player added: “You gotta change the day/night speeds for this one tho”.

An interesting idea came from things_keep_going. They suggested: “Lil Guys. Only using small Pals like Jolthog, Lifmunk, Dazzi, Glider Pals, etc. Basically grabbable Pals”. This player added: “Using other Pals for breeding is fine. Optionally you can use non-smol guys in the base too if you feel like it won’t hurt the challenge”.

Players Who Change the Pace Have a Fresh Outlook on Palworld

You could do any of the aforementioned challenges to keep Palworld gameplay interesting and fresh. Basically, you could limit any aspect and see how it affects the difficulty of the game. Or, you could change your entire approach. PsuedoNym52 shared: “Not a challenge, but I like taking my fav Pal out for walks to explore a random area I haven’t been to in a while”. Honestly, changing the pace and not running to achieve something feels like a great idea.

Another player, Fantasycorps, suggested: “I’d describe my main file as a near-PETA/FPA run. It is extremely crippling but I’d rather actively try not to be some kind of whipmaster everyone else I know is bent on being. I wish food, comfort, and security for my Pals”.

Our favorite approach would probably include just changing our perspective and enjoying the smaller details. Of course, not everyone is interested in playing that way, so you could always try out a challenge. Now, it’s important to mention burnout. If even after challenging yourself you feel overwhelmed and tired, you might want to consider taking a break. It doesn’t have to be long, but you can use it to explore other games or focus on new hobbies. You should enjoy your spare time. This awesome community will be waiting for your return.
