Palia is finally out on PC as players are exploring the game’s vibrant world. But if you’re playing on a Mac and want to know if the MMO is playable on your Apple rig, then look no further. This article has the answer for you.
For those unaware, Palia from game developer Singularity 6 was recently launched for PC. Players are beginning to discover what the game has in store for them as they explore further into its lush environment. Mac users, on the other hand, would also love to experience what their PC counterparts are enjoying with the new game. To that end, the question remains – is the cozy MMO playable on their premium hardware?
Is Palia available on Mac?
Sorry Mac users, Palia is not available on Mac at the moment. Singularity 6 previously highlighted that they only released it on PC and soon on the Nintendo Switch. However, the developer hinted that they are considering expanding the game to gaming platforms other than the ones that were mentioned.
Is there a way to play Palia on Mac?
Palia may not be readily available on your Mac, but there could be a way to make it work on your device. Apple currently has a game porting toolkit claiming that it can “bring modern and high-end games to Mac and iPad with the powerful features of Metal and Apple silicon.” The tool kit has this Proton-like environment that can interpret and run DirectX 12 PC games on macOS.
Mac users who have already tried the porting toolkit claim to have successfully run Palia. However, getting it to run was also met with numerous hiccups. Additionally, the game became playable provided that its settings were set to Low.
