Standard Parts are just another material players need to craft and upgrade their equipment and base in Once Human. Because this is a survival game, players constantly need to explore new areas, gather better loot and materials, and craft stronger equipment to fight more deadly opponents.

Moreover, Standard Parts are the first significant material players need to start transitioning to better gear from low-tier items. Read on, and we will explain how to get Standard Parts in Once Human and where the best areas are to farm them.

As is the case with lower-quality Rusted Parts, or better Refined Parts, Standard Parts are craftable items. Players cannot simply loot this out in the world, Standard Parts are made using the Disassembly Bench in their base. However, as with other parts, the right quality of scrap is needed to produce this.

Early areas in the game provide players with access to lower-tier scrap that is good for creating rusted parts. However, to get to the Standard Parts, players will have to venture further into more dangerous areas of the world. The higher quality scrap needed here is located in level 10 or higher areas, where caution is advised. Although these areas are not teaming with monsters, they are home to Gnawers, and they can be a hassle to deal with up close.

The best areas in the game to get scrap for Standard Parts are the Broken Delta and Iron River. Because scrap needed is rarely located in the yellow glowing cases, make sure to keep an eye out for Old Material and Junk piles and containers. This can all be scraped later for Standard Parts, so make sure to grab as much as possible. If you are having trouble locating the scrap needed, we recommend using the Spacetime ability (“Q” key by default). This will scan the area and highlight any boxes in the area.
