As Fortnite prepares for the upcoming season change, leaks have suggested a slew of new features, such as new locations, a futuristic theme, and even a first-person mode.
According to data miner HYPEX, a reliable source, a first-person mode is likely to be included in the latest chapter, providing a refreshing change from the third-person perspective that Fortnite players are accustomed to. However, we will update this information as more details become available following the release of the new season.
ShiinaBR, another reputable source, has confirmed that Season 2 will include a futuristic theme, along with futuristic motorcycles and a new Tokyo POI. The map will also have glowing tubes that allow for quick gliding. Fortnite’s official tweet hints at additional changes, and we may even see the return of an old POI, Lucky Landing.
The upcoming season is called MEGA, which is reflected in the Japanese characters accompanying it. The teaser shows a neon-colored, fast-paced city with futuristic vehicles and blinding lights, similar to Cyberpunk 2077. We also get a glimpse of skins like Thunder, Highwire, Imani, and Mizuki.

In addition to the futuristic theme, new weapons will also be introduced, such as the Smart Pistol, which allows players to track their enemies, and the Chain Grenade Launcher. As yet, it is unclear how these weapons will function, but we can expect to find out when the new season is released.
Leaked information from iFireMonkey has also hinted that the vehicles in the game will be customized to match the futuristic setting, including both new and existing vehicles.
Prior to the season’s release, iFireMonkey revealed that three new NPCs would be added to the game to match the theme of the season. These include P33LY with golden glowing eyes, CRZ-8 with a mask, and NeuraLynx wearing a blue and black suit with a tail.
