Although just over a week has passed since the new entry’s launch, fans of the series are excited to see what the future DLC might have in store. NetherRealm Studios confirmed the DLC prior to the release of MK1, teasing new characters featured in the Kombat Pack. So, when can we expect the content to drop? Here’s what we know.

Mortal Kombat 1 Release Window Prediction
A fixed release date has not yet been confirmed for the MK1 DLC. Following leaked Amazon listings, some speculate that we may receive the new content sometime in the spring of 2024. However, NetherRealm Studios has not signed off on this information.
Given that MK1 has just recently launched in full, it may take some time before we see any updates regarding the upcoming DLC. That said, we have been teased with a fair amount of content details from Ed Boon, co-creator of the iconic fighting game franchise.
What’s more, the Kombat Pack is already on pre-order for those who purchased the Premium Edition of the game, adding more excitement to its future release. You can also purchase the DLC pack separately as we await launch details.
All Confirmed Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Characters
While we haven’t received word on an official release date, the Kombat Pack DLC for MK1 will feature a handful of new characters and Kameo fighters. Those who purchased a copy of the Premium or Kollector’s Edition of the game already have the DLC pack on standby.
In a Twitch livestream with Skybound Entertainment, Ed Boon confirmed the first character we’d see added with the Kombat Pack. What’s more, a DLC trailer revealed several of the additional fighters. While they remain unconfirmed, dataminers have leaked additional DLC fighters. According to leakers, these fighters are expected to arrive in MK1 sometime in 2024. NetherRealm Studios has yet to confirm the following fighters or a potential release date.
