How To Do Celebration Runs?

Anytime during your sprint to the goal line, press L2+R2+X if you’re playing on PlayStation and LT+RT+A if you’re playing on an Xbox. This will make your player throw up some taunts toward the enemy team just before scoring a touchdown.

You can also hold or tap the X/Square button to dive or fall into the end zone respectively. Unlike Special celebration runs, Taunt celebration runs are done while play is live, meaning your celebration can be cut short if you’re tackled or intercepted. However, if you still wish to throw some shade on your opponent, here’s how to do it.

It’s very important to remember that this celebration run is during live play, not suspended play. If you’re caught between your celebration run, you’ll lose possession of the ball.

How To Perform Special Celebration Runs?

When you score a touchdown, get an interception, or have a fumble recovery, you’ll see four different celebration options on-screen. These include Dance, Flex, Signature, or Spike. Under certain conditions, you might see Team or Swagger replace some of those options. All you have to do is move your right joystick in the direction of your preferred celebration run.

Now, to keep things realistic, Madden 24 has unique Signature celebration runs for most players. Depending on who the player was that you made the play with, you’ll see a wide variety of celebrations. Some of these include Jamar Chase’s “Gritty”, Jalen Waddle’s “Waddle, and Michael Thomas’s “Flex, to name a few.

You can also choose to perform Team celebrations, general dances, flexes, etc. Players that do not have Signature celebration runs will be replaced with Swagger.

We mentioned that there are three types of celebration runs in the game: Special, Taunt, and Goal Line. Special celebration run is the most common type and easiest to perform.

How To Perform Goal Line Celebrations?

Goal line celebrations are special celebrations that you can only activate 2 to 3 yards before reaching the yard line. These also had some new additions in Madden 24 to keep things interesting.

To perform a goal line celebration, the controls are the same as Taunt celebration runs. L2+R2+ X (for PlayStation) and LT+RT+A (for Xbox). Doing this a few years before scoring a touchdown makes your player do cool animations over the yard line, like a front flip or the worm.

These are special animations that can’t be triggered any other way in the game, and you need to press the button combo just as you cross the finish line, otherwise the animation isn’t activated.
