Is Star Wars Jedi Survivor Multiplayer, Co-Op, or Split Screen?

Cal wields a lightsaber and duels an enemy

STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor is the highly anticipated sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order, and it’s set to release later this month on April 28. With the new installment, we’ll see Cal Kestis’ story continued alongside a cast of familiar faces as well as a number of new characters.

While Jedi: Fallen Order was particularly well-received by the STAR WARS fandom, many players would have liked multiplayer options to duel with friends. With the introduction of all-new characters in the game’s sequel, this feature has once again been called into question.

Is Jedi: Survivor multiplayer? Let’s cover what we know about the upcoming title.

Will Jedi: Survivor Have Multiplayer Options?

In short, no, Jedi: Survivor will not feature multiplayer options. This is confirmed on Steam, where the new title is listed as single-player.

Although this comes as no surprise considering it’s a continuation of Jedi: Fallen Order, it’s still likely to disappoint players who were hopeful to take on the Empire alongside friends. Despite this, a single-player format does make sense in the context of Jedi: Survivor.

This is because Jedi: Survivor will be narratively-driven, much like its predecessor. While dueling against friends as Jedi warriors would be an incredible in-game experience, it makes sense within the STAR WARS universe to accept the call to action as the protagonist alone.

What Platforms is Jedi: Survivor Releasing On?

According to EA Games, Jedi: Survivor will be releasing exclusively for next-gen consoles and PC later this month. Unfortunately, this means that players who main older systems like PS4 and Xbox One won’t be able to play the upcoming sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order.

Platforms compatible with Jedi: Survivor include:

  • PlayStation 5
  • Xbox Series X|S
  • PC

The new title is currently available for pre-order on these platforms, listed at nearly $70 for the Standard Edition and $90 for the Deluxe. That’s a bit of a jump from the standard $60 for console games, but franchise fans are hoping it will pay off.

Because of the exclusivity highlighted in the release of Jedi: Survivor, players are now expecting to see top-tier graphics and gameplay when the title drops later this month. Although, it does seem that the sequel will absolutely deliver in all departments.

Is Jedi: Survivor Split-Screen?

Jedi: Survivor does not support split-screen. The game is designed to be played solo without another player on the same screen.

Is Jedi: Survivor Co-op?

There is no co-op in Jedi: Survivor. The game is narratively driven and is a single-player experience. If it does get multiplayer, it would be outside of the main storyline.
