One of the main things players wanted from Hogwarts Legacy was multiplayer. Many fans wanted to play with their friends, exploring the grounds in and outside Hogwarts.
Various methods could have been used to accomplish this, including wizard duels and Quidditch. As Quidditch was confirmed not to be included, and duels seemed more of a game mode, players lost hope.
Is multiplayer something we’ll have in Hogwarts Legacy?

There is no multiplayer in Hogwarts Legacy. The game was designed with only single-player in mind, and the developers really wanted players to feel free to explore the world at their leisure.
Additionally, multiplayer would hinder players’ ability to choose dialogue choices and possibly remove their freedom to act as they see fit. When you feel someone is judging your actions, roleplaying can be difficult.
Having another person around may compromise your ability to shape the story.
Is Multiplayer Coming to Hogwarts Legacy Eventually?
There is no official multiplayer in Hogwarts Legacy. Mods may allow players to enjoy multiplayer in Hogwarts Legacy, but these are used at your own risk.
Things like Quidditch and wizard duels can still come with a multiplayer feature. Some games may add multiplayer features later, but others don’t bend or buckle for fan appeal.
Multiplayer would also distract the developers. A priority of something like Quidditch may be pushed aside for multiplayer. Then, Quidditch would need multiplayer built in, and that would make a single update take longer.
In some ways, it’s better for the game if it remains single-player.

Is PvP Coming to Hogwarts Legacy?
Hogwarts Legacy is not getting PvP. While many players would like it, the developers have yet to discuss regular multiplayer.
The world would definitely work for PvP, but the developers would have to optimize for multiple spells, button input timing, and many other factors. It would just take too long, and we can’t imagine the developers would consider it worthwhile.
Is There Co-op in Hogwarts Legacy?
There is no multiplayer co-op in any form in Hogwarts Legacy. Gameplay-wise, having a companion who is as powerful as the main character doesn’t make much sense.
The game would probably be too easy if Hogwarts Legacy added multiplayer.
Why Doesn’t Hogwarts Legacy Have Multiplayer?
From the announcement, the game was intended to be single-player. Avalanche put up an FAQ that clarified the game wouldn’t be multiplayer in any way.
