The Tactical Nuke killstreak has been the pinnacle of multiplayer achievement in the Call of Duty franchise ever since it was introduced back in 2009 with Modern Warfare 2. Upon reaching a 25 killstreak, or 24 with the Hardline perk, players could call in a nuke that would kill everyone on the map, as well as ending the game. There are few more satisfying moments in gaming than achieving this killstreak.
The Nuke persisted through multiple Call of Duty titles as the highest killstreak. Call of Duty: Mobile is no different, with the Nuke still existing at the top of the killstreak ladder. However, how players go about earning it, as well as what its immediate effect is, has changed.
Want to know how to show complete domination with this fearsome killstreak? Read on to see what exactly has changed about the Nuke in Call of Duty: Mobile.
How Do You Get a Nuke in Call of Duty: Mobile?
To earn a Nuke in Call of Duty: Mobile, now called the Nuclear Bomb, players must reach a killstreak of 20 consecutive gun kills without dying. Unlike previous titles, kills earned with other killstreaks, operator kills, or reductions with the hardline perk don’t count towards this killstreak. This means players must earn all 20 kills with their skills in gunplay alone.

This killstreak is also not unlocked as soon as a player starts playing Call of Duty Mobile. The killstreak is unlocked at level 20, meaning players will need to grind out a good amount of experience first.
Combine these requirement with the rise of skill-based matchmaking, and you’ll find that this is now one of the more difficult multiplayer tasks in all of gaming. In older games, killstreak rewards like the precision airstrike and the chopper gunner could aid a player significantly in earning the Nuke. Players on mobile will have to try much harder to earn this reward.
What Does the Nuke Do in Call of Duty: Mobile?
Despite being harder to earn in Mobile, the effect has been tuned down somewhat. Upon using the Nuke a 10-second countdown will appear on everyone’s screens, paired with a siren. When the countdown ends the Nuke detonates, with players’ screens fading to white. All vehicles will explode, and all enemies will die. However, this is not a game-ending killstreak. Enemies will respawn, and the game will continue as usual.

For players that miss the old feeling of the Nuke final killcam to end the game, they must simply wait. If a player gets the last kill of the game with the Nuclear Bomb they will see the Nuke killcam, similar to how it looked when using the Tactical Nuke in MW2.
Players will need a lot of skill and preparation to achieve this, but it is still doable. Want to keep your skills sharp by staying up to date on everything Call of Duty? Stick around on N4G for the must current news, guides, and originals!
