Helldivers never saw this coming! Have you ever wanted to bring some medieval martial games to the Second Galactic War? Well, some creative players used the opportunity of having a vehicle, a shield, and a lance to joust in Helldivers 2. Who’s ready for a tournament?
So, You Can Now Joust in Helldivers 2
The current Major Order gave the players a well-deserved break from the chaos that followed the arrival of the Illuminate. Lots of things happened in the last couple of weeks, the black hole was revealed to be a wormhole, the Illuminate wreaked chaos, the players received a new Warbond, and a huge update with lots of new content.
Well, it took the players a while to go through all the new items, but this was worth the wait. You see, some players combined the FRV with the CQC-19 Stun Lance and the Directional Shield from the new Warbond. Et voilà! Players can now joust in Helldivers 2.
One Redditor, kastielstone, posted an amazing and thrilling video of how jousting looks like in-game. They noted: “This creates the need for more vehicles and melee weapons so we can have a gladiator arena”.
If you and your friends want to recreate this, all you need to do is get the items listed above. You can find the FRV among Stratagems and get it for 25k requisition slips. The Stun Lance and the Directional Shield are both in the Urban Legends Warbond.
Helldivers Adore This Amazing Idea
As you may have expected, the idea of being able to joust in Helldivers 2 simply won over the players. We get it completely. Who wouldn’t want to engage in jousting with their teammates?
The majority of players praised the creators of this video and the creativity behind it. Many noted that this was the only PvP they wanted to see in Helldivers 2. However, this also opened the doors for more creative ideas.
Yarus43 suggested: “Hear me out, gladiator special mission. You’re sent to the Arena Of Selected Liberty. You are equipped with a melee weapon and nothing else, perhaps a shield, as Managed Democracy votes choose different captured prisoners of war to fight you. Your fellow squad mates watch in the stands, and take your place if you fall to the tyrannical enemy”.
