Major Order Briefing Conffunds Some Helldivers 2 Players

Helldivers 2 PLAS-101 Purifier shooting at bots

While waiting for the consequences of the previous Major Order, the fans have been trying to complete the current one. Helldivers 2 players were particularly concerned over a recent briefing of the Major Order. The question that haunted everyone’s mind was what the message meant.

A Briefing Like no Other

A player, FadingCosmos, took to Reddit to share their concerns. They received a puzzling briefing – just a bunch of question marks, the only readable part was TCS and 2.0. As expected, other players came up with theories on what happened. SirGarryGalavant said: “Major Order: We have no f**king clue what’s going on, kill some bugs about it”.

Any_Satisfaction_405 blamed the (literal) bugs. They noted: “That awkward moment when you’re trying to warn all the Helldivers that jumping from Meridia to Super Earth brought billions of bug spores back, but the bugs rip you apart and spam question marks before you get the message out”. That sounds plausible, after all those spores were everywhere.

Of course, people looking forward to fighting Automatons quickly pointed out that maybe the bots were behind this ordeal. Syfester said: “Automaton Hack”. Another player, flammingbullet, theorized: “Worse, illuminate coms scrambling”. Fans are impatiently waiting for the arrival of the Illuminate, could this be the beginning? According to DreckigerDan93: “The black hole is a portal for the Illuminate. That’s how they probably communicate”.
Others pointed out that TCS 2.0 sounded familiar. A player, boredcblf, pointed out: “Terminid Control System 2.0? The one that they talked about in the last false info- I mean, the last news that it’s been developed? With termicide 2.0”.

Electronic_Bunnies presented the most obvious solution. They said: “Honestly it looks like a corrupted version of the previous message right? Does anyone else see it? It is potentially just a glitch when it opened for them”. While this is probably the correct answer, we’d like to believe that this was done on purpose, as a way to introduce something new.

Helldivers 2 Announcement Amused the Fans

The X account of Helldivers 2 didn’t elaborate on this topic, but they made an announcement of their own. It stated: “Helldivers, your cooperation with the emergency FTL jump to Super Earth protected our ships from Meridia’s implosion. As thanks, add 30s to one sleep cycle! [However, your trip did count as an unauthorized return from deployment and we have deducted 1 day from your accrued Leave]“.

Players were tickled by this announcement. Pr0digyZRX said: “Definitely need that 30s extra. But I’ll probably not use my leave anyway. Too many enemies of Democracy to deal with. I can take leave when I’m dead”. A Redditor, elkosh93, added: “Exactly. What is a PTO? No PTO, please. Democracy needs undisturbed attention”.
Others were less impressed and kind of sad that the Helldivers had to deal with some sort of capitalism. DuncanConnell pointed out: “Modern businesses be like”. We agree that it isn’t easy being a Helldiver in this day and age. You deserve to take leave occasionally. But, the Major Order briefing left a lot of Helldivers 2 players expecting something big to happen soon. So, maybe it’s better if you just stick around and exterminate some Terminids, just in case.
