All Helldivers know that random loot is not even nearly as common as random spawns, but it’s still a nice little something. Sometimes, finding loot is exactly what you need to improve your day. Especially if you are a lucky Helldivers 2 player who stumbles upon a large sum of Super Credits as random loot.
How Rare Is It to Find 100 Super Credits in Helldivers 2?
One fortunate diver, the_l0st_s0ck, was flabbergasted when the message on their screen read “Acquired Super Credits +100”. This player shared their findings with the community, wishing for confirmation that this was actually possible.
Well, if you’ve been diving for a while, you already know that it is. The problem is that it’s very rare and you can spend hundreds of hours in-game and not get this loot. For example, we’ve been playing since the launch, with small breaks, level 83, and we’re yet to find 100 Super Credits.
There were players that were on very high levels, like level 150, that still hadn’t stumbled upon this amount of Super Credits. One devoted player, 48Dragon, shared: “Nope. That’s a thing. It’s rare. I just got my first one… and I have 600 hours in the game)”.
The interesting fact is that many players who reported finding this loot discovered it while playing on a lower level of difficulty. Many players found 100SC in one of their first missions, the same players stated they were disappointed when they found that the “usual” amount was only 10SC.
Ds1018 came up with an explanation on why you had better chances on a lower level. They noted: “I got one the other day. I’ve read it’s more common on super low levels as the odds to spawn Samples are lower so by default the odds to get SC are higher”.

However, some Helldivers 2 players gave another explanation for why finding 100 Super Credits as random loot feels rarer than it used to. You might have guessed it, reportedly the devs nerfed this feature at some point.
One Redditor, ninjabladeJr, stated: “You used to get them all the time in low-level dives. I would do difficulty 1 dives during my breaks and get 2~3 during the 15 mins. But, I remember there was a patch note that mentioned nerfing super credits on lower levels”.
Sharblue confirmed: “They somewhat nerfed it, too. People were bragging about how « easy » it was to get a Warbond worth of SC (it was). I bought like 1 Warbond and 6 armors with « free » SC in 2 weeks back then. As usual, instead of straight on nerfing the +100 spawn rates, they could’ve at least increased default ones to +20, or +30”.
So, if you were thinking of playing on a lower-level difficulty to increase your luck, it probably won’t help. What might help is going through every single Point of Interest, which is quite time-consuming, but who knows, you might get lucky. When you are fighting to complete the Major Order, take a couple of minutes for your search.
