Sometimes even great changes can fly under players’ radar, or in this case be overshadowed by even bigger buffs. As you are probably aware, the most recent Helldivers 2 update gave a buff to lots of weapons, however, up until recently, players didn’t even realize that the P-113 Verdict was buffed as well. Now that it has taken its place under the spotlight, players have nothing but words of praise for this weapon.
P-113 Verdict Received a Solid Buff
If you still haven’t you can unlock this semi-automatic pistol in the Polar Patriots Warbond. Many players gladly used it even before it was buffed. However, in the sea of buffs, this weapon somehow slid through the cracks and its buff went by unnoticed.
The patch notes reveal: “Armor penetration increased from 2 to 3. Projectile durable damage increased from 13 to 32. Stagger strength increased from 13 to 15”. Reportedly, this pistol can now even one-tap Devastators and light units.
Rock_For_Life noted: “Everyone talking about the Senator, with the AP4, that’s totally overshadowed the Verdict. Not many realized, with buffs, that the AP3 Verdict is actually a beast. I hope slowly the Verdict will get some hype as well, same as the Senator did”.
Another player, schofield101, said: “Verdict is snappy as hell, fast reload, can pump out all rounds in an instant, and can now take down medium guys fairly effectively without aiming – even better with a steady hand. Yeah, I’ll take it over AP4 any day of the week”.
Will Helldivers 2 Players Pick the Verdict Over the Senator?
Even though both weapons received a nice buff, it seems that the majority of Helldivers 2 players still prefer the Senator over the Verdict. Sure, the Senator is now AP4, but we found the Verdict somehow more diverse. Players who prefer the Senator shared their reasons with the community.
One Redditor, illstealyourRNA, noted: “It’s really good [the Verdict], but I love killing Hulks with Senator. I really wish to be able to have the ability to dual wield two Senators with a fast speedloader for reload as a primary”.
T4ke responded to the claims that the Verdict could take down the Devastators. This player said: “So can the SENATOR, son….so can the SENATOR! And you can reload the SENATOR after each shot and don’t have to live with the shameful DISGRACE of a half-empty magazine. Absolutely shameful running around with a half-empty magazine”.
Now, we’d advise you to switch up your loadouts and give both these weapons a chance. That’s the only way you’ll determine what works for you.
