Initial Findings Reveal Horrifying Details About How the Illuminate Created the Voteless in Helldivers 2

It’s been quite a strenuous week for Helldivers. Although many would guess the holiday season would be a bit slow, the players had their hands full with the recently completed Major Order. However, their efforts weren’t futile! The first tests showed the terrifying things citizens went through to become Voteless, causing many Helldivers 2 players to swear they’d avenge their fellow Super Earth supporters by exterminating the Illuminate.

Helldivers Finally Know How the Illuminate Created the Voteless

As you know, the Illuminate showed up out of nowhere, wreaking chaos and popping up all over the map. Initially, Helldivers assumed the Squids came from or were going for the black hole (now the wormhole). However, the more time passes, the harder it gets to even guess what the Illuminate’s intentions are.

Overall, everything about the Illuminate is a mystery. Thus, the Super Earth scientists took it upon themselves to solve that mystery step by step. You can’t know how to defeat something if you don’t know what it is, right? Well, the previous Major Order helped the scientists find out a bit more about what we’re facing.

The goal was to liberate quite a few of the Voteless, as well as many Harvesters. The Helldivers did a wonderful job, and the scientists went straight to work. What they discovered was purely blood-curdling.

According to a briefing that followed the Major Order, the unfortunate citizens went through quite the ordeal. Helldivers 2 players were horrified to learn that the Illuminate created the Voteless by brainwashing the citizens so much that their brains were damaged. Also, genetic testing showed that somehow the Illuminate changed the citizens’ DNA, as the samples were interspliced with proteins matching those of the Illuminate.

We’ll be doing everything we can to avenge the fallen citizens, will you join us? Some new units are bound to join the Illuminate effort, so we’ll have to join forces and fry those Squids out of the galaxy. Hopefully, they’ll be gone for good this time. For Liberty and Super Earth.
