It’s been months since the Democracy Space Station dropped, and the players finally managed to use it to their advantage. Sure, it helped before, but Helldivers 2 players saw the DSS in its full glory when it blocked the Jet Brigade from leaving Menkent and spreading around the Galactic Map.
The DSS Stopped the Jet Brigade From Spreading
As you know, the DSS was first put into action in mid-November 2024. The players weren’t too pleased with it, to say the least. After undergoing a much-needed reconstruction, the Democracy Space Station returned a couple of weeks ago. Although it was said to be acceptable, it wasn’t until now that the players truly appreciated it.
The recently finished Major Order had sent the players to Chort Bay to destroy the Jet Brigade factories. However, some players continuously claimed that something didn’t feel right and that the Jet Brigade was on Menkent. It turned out that the Jet Brigade was actually on Menkent.
However, thanks to a fast reaction, Helldivers managed to stop it from spreading by activating the Orbital Blockade on the DSS. The in-game Strategic Alert congratulated the players for their quick thinking.
It noted: “The DSS has confirmed the presence of a rebuilt Automaton Jet Brigade on Menkent. The Automatons clearly intended an underhanded surprise attack to cut off our extended forces. But their treachery has been stymied by the natural-born tactical intuition of the Helldivers. The DSS Blockade will hold the Jet Brigade for a limited time, long enough to augment our forces on Lesath and thin the ranks of the Jet Brigade itself. Many lives have been saved this day. Well done, Helldivers”.
Botdivers Had an Amazing Week
Helldivers 2 players worldwide excitedly praised the DSS and its role in stopping the Jet Brigade spread. Even though this small victory is only temporary, as the Jet Brigade will spread once the Orbital Blockade expires, it shows the true value of the DSS.
Due_Ad4133 stated: “For probably the first time since its activation, we managed to use The DSS in the strategically effective manner it was meant for. The Jet Brigade: Trapped on Menkent by the DSS’s Orbital Blockade and getting decimated by Helldiver forces. The factories that produced them: Destroyed, and the planet liberated. Vernen Wells: An hour away from liberation without the need of an MO. The Bot Front as a whole: Virtually cut in half. I do believe that the last week has been one of the single most successful weeks on the Bot Front that we’ve had in months”.
The only problem is that all this effort might be in vain. As you know, the wormhole has been acting up for a while. Even though it’s been under the watchful eye of Helldivers, all of the Warp Links are gone, and something big is probably about to happen. So, we can’t help but wonder, if a Special Event arises, will any Helldivers stay on Menkent and prevent the Jet Brigade from spreading? The botdivers will hopefully hold the fort.
