For the first time ever, Helldivers have had a chance to fight for two MOs at the same time. However, J.O.E.L (or something else) may have just ruined the players’ chances of winning the Battle for Super Earth. So, what’s going on with Super Earth, and did the Squids plant the first-ever dual Major Order in Helldivers 2?
There Is a Dual Major Order?!
As you know, the players spent their weekend fighting against the Illuminate on Super Earth for the Major Order. They had a slim chance of winning, with some predictions saying the time would run out at 99,8% completed. Obviously, that meant the MO was doable!
Unfortunately, J.O.E.L threw a curveball and issued another Major Order on May 26. Yes, for the first time since the game dropped, there are two parallel MOs. The first one (MO1) is the aforementioned one, but the second MO (MO2) dropped on May 26. At the time, around 20 hours were left for players to complete MO1.
The second MO is fairly simple. Players have to kill 200 million Automatons. This would secure enough scrap metal to fix the DSS. At the time of writing this article, it’s been 18 hours since the MO2 started, and it’s already almost at 40%.
After almost a week of fighting on Super Earth, players were easily persuaded to change fronts and fight another faction. Unfortunately, that means that the MO1 is doomed. With two hours left on the clock, players likely won’t be able to get the last 4,9% needed to complete MO1.
Helldivers 2 Players Claim the Squids Are to Blame For the Dual MO
Just as the Helldivers 2 players were about to give one final push and fend off the Squids, the dual Major Order happened. Perfect timing for the Illuminate, right? Well, Helldivers think so. Many proposed that the MO2 was planted by the Squids.
SomeMoodyGuy noted: “We have literal days to fight bots, but only hours to win the MO. I feel like this was suppose to give people not fighting on Super Earth something productive to do but of course it would draw people away”.
Banana_Milk7248 added: “We were doing so well. We’re not going to be able to hold one city at this rate. You know, as soon as it’s finished, they’re going to want us to harvest bugs to fuel it”.
Even though they promised to keep Super Earth safe, if the players keep fighting on other fronts, the most democratic planet will fall. So, dear diver, use the remaining time to join in and complete a couple of quick missions. For Liberty and Super Earth.
