Great news for all Helldivers who are already tired of fighting the Squids. And, well, bad news for Super Earth, we guess. Some Helldivers 2 leaks have revealed two new Illuminate units, the Xenobite and the Outcast Cultists. So, what should you expect from these terrifying Squids?
Leaks Show Off the Xenobite and the Outcast Cultists
IronS1ghts is back, with thrilling new leaks! This prolific data miner and leaker is probably the players’ biggest source of information about what’s to come. This time, IronS1ghts shared everything they found about Cultists in game files.
Let’s start with the Xenobite Outcasts! According to the OP: “Much weaker, much faster variant of the overseer. Can ‘phase’ to move extremely fast, while being temporarily invulnerable. The third image shows him ‘phasing’ to attack a player”.
Next up, the Illuminate Outcast Cultists. IronS1ghts stated: “Consisting of two variants, the outcast acts as a sniper and a close-range assassin. Being able to teleport into battle dual-wielding blades, or staying at a long range and sniping. Like the xenobite, the outcast can ‘phase’ to move quickly in battle, and lunge at players”.
Finishing strong, this leaker showed off the Cultist Warp Gate. They explained: “The cultist’s alternative to grounded warp ship”. Imagine seeing the Cultists just casually stepping out of the Warp Gate. Truth be told, we are already terrified.
The Leaks Raised Hopes for an Exciting Future in the Helldivers 2 Community
Now, as you probably know, this community functions in extremes. It’s either “the game is dying” or “we’re so back”. The latest big update, the Heart of Democracy, and the Battle for Super Earth were huge for the community. However, the latest patch brought some unfortunate bugs (no, not the Terminids), causing some players to question the devs’ dedication.
Fortunately, these leaks of Cultists dropped at the right moment, and the Helldivers 2 community is hyped once again. One player, Pheanox, noted: “AH put too much in to show, we know they are back, scarier than ever and more deadly than the first war”.
