Another win for Arrowhead! The Masters of Ceremony Warbond dropped on May 15. Let’s be honest, it looks great, the aesthetic is simply amazing. Even though the players loved the drip, they were kind of disappointed with the stats. They called the new armor passive “useless”. Well, the Arrowhead devs heard the players’ pleas, and boy, did they deliver! On May 27, they released a Helldivers 2 patch made up mostly of some fixes, but it also brought a huge buff to the Masters of Ceremony armor.
The Masters of Ceremony Armor Passive Was Adjusted in the New Patch
The developers shared the latest patch notes on the official Discord server. The patch consists of various bug, stability, and crash fixes. Furthermore, the patch delivered an unexpected, but welcome, buff to the Reinforced Epaulettes passive.
The patch notes stated: “After hard-fought battles on super earth, our Masters of Ceremony have become more grizzled and stronger. With their limbs not suffering any breakages, Helldivers adorned with these armors are finding themselves able to reload faster and punch harder”.
So, what changed? The Reload Speed of primary weapons was increased by 30%, and the Melee Damage was increased by a whopping 50%. That’s quite a buff! And, it’s all thanks to the players voicing their dissatisfaction.
The changes are already live in the game. So, as you can see in the image below, the Reinforced Epaulettes armor passive is now quite OP. Aside from the aforementioned buffs, it also grants the Helldiver a 50% chance to avoid grievous limb injury.
Helldivers 2 Players Love the Buff
Arrowhead devs have really stepped up their game recently. The Heart of Democracy update was one of the best ones the players have seen, and this subsequent patch addressed plenty of issues. However, the biggest winner of this latest Helldivers 2 patch has to be the buff of the Masters of Ceremony armor passive. Players gladly praised the devs for their effort.
Sad-Needleworker-590 noted: “I can finally use it not just for the memes. It looks cool and now even has good stats”. Another player, not-beaten, added: “From one of the worst armor passives in the game to the best in a single patch”.
Of course, this also raised the players’ expectations as they now hope the devs will rework some other armor passives. CaptainAction stated: “There was a lot of negative sentiment around it and then it got tweaked super quick. But, what about the other armors with cra**y passives? They need help too. I’m mostly thinking of Unflinching”.
Well, we’ll have to wait and see, but with all the recent wins, we’re sure the Arrowhead devs are working on something big. In the meantime, Super Earth mustn’t fall, no matter what the leaks claim. So, meet us there. For Liberty and Super Earth.
