February 8, 2024, is the date that had an impact on hundreds of thousands of players. Yes, that’s the date Helldivers 2 dropped and the fight to spread Managed Democracy started again. Since then, players have had many great battles, from Malevelon Creek, over Meridia, all the way to Calypso. And, most importantly the fight continues! However, the first anniversary of Helldivers 2 is fast approaching, and the brave Helldivers are listing everything they’d like to get to celebrate the occasion.
How Do Helldivers Want to Celebrate the Anniversary?
In the last eleven months, this game and the Helldivers have had numerous ups and downs. But, somehow, the devs and the players always found a way out of a tough situation, usually together. That’s the secret of this game’s success, developers listen to the player base and take its feedback. So, hopefully, the devs will take these wishes into consideration.
Let’s start with the most obvious asks. First and foremost, the majority of players asked for weapon customization. According to some leaks, it’s already being worked on, so we’re sure Helldivers will be able to customize their weapons soon.
Many players asked for some of the items from the first installment. Spiritual_Owl_2234 noted: “I would love to see some more HD1 stuff ported to HD2 be it armors, weapons, or Stratagems”. East_Monk_9415 added: “Strategem launcher on mechs. Justice and camper from 1st game”.
Next up, of course, is the rest of the Illuminate. Now, everyone knows that the current roster is just a vanguard. Now, there have been plenty of leaks about the rest of the Illuminate units joining the current ones, and even some about their abilities. Who knows, maybe, they’ll arrive in a giant ship?
A Good Cape Never Goes Out of Style
Of course, there were also requests for new difficulties, new ship modules, more voice lines, new voices, a huge free Warbond, and much more. However, among the sea of requests, one was the most asked for. The absolute majority of Helldivers 2 players would love nothing more than a cape for the first anniversary of the game.
And, truly, a cape is the most traditional gift for devoted Helldivers. Everyone loves a good cape! Some players even suggested the anniversary cape should feature the Super Earth flag. We can already see it – all the players wearing their special new capes for the celebrations.
Finally, PickleDiego paraphrased John F. Kennedy. They noted: “Ask not what Super Earth can do for you – ask what you can do for Super Earth”. Solid advice, especially during the rough patches (and there’ve been a few).
So, dear Helldiver, what would you like to get for the anniversary? Truth be told, we’d love a good cape, and maybe a Special Event of sorts. We’ll find out in less than a month, so fingers crossed! For Liberty and Super Earth.
