Fortnite has been a starting point for a lot of content creators and YouTubers. Some started by simply streaming their games, and over several years have reached peak popularity in the Fortnite community. It isn’t as easy as it sounds, as budding YouTubers have to navigate the rough and cutthroat world of internet fame. Epic Games sometime collaborates with these internet celebrities, in the form of an Icon skin. They have already done so with Mr Beast, Nick Eh 30, and others.
A New Icon Skin is on the Way
Various leakers, like JorgeMost and Shiina, have revealed that “a ‘world-famous’ content creator will be getting their own ICON Series skin in the next Fortnite Update“ Icons skins usually come with appropriate cosmetics, like a Pickaxe, weapon Wrap, an Emote, or anything along those lines.
The next update for Fortnite is supposed to go live somewhere around September 17. But who is the “world-famous” content creator? The community has their ideas.
Players Think Typical Gamer is the Next Icon Skin
With all the hubbub concerning who is the next Icon skin, one name stands out from the rest. The majority of players think it is going to be Typical Gamer. He’s a popular YouTuber from Vancouver, Canada, streaming GTA, Fortnite, Minecraft and other games. He’s known for positive and family-friendly content.
Players have been asking for his Icon skin for a while now, and now we got comments like “PLS BE TYPICAL GAMER” and “Typical Gamer def deserves one! it’s long overdue” What is also interesting is that TG posted on August 16: “SEASON 4 WILL BE PEAK FORTNITE!” That may be a subtle hint that he’s joining Fortnite in Season 4. We guess we will all find out in a couple of days.
