Everyone who has ever played Fortnite is aware of the almost countless number of skins. You may adore some, and hate others, but the diverse collection allows everyone to enjoy them. Now, a leak has BEAN (pun intended) confirmed, and Fortnite players are stunned by the sheer amount of new skin designs.
Did New Designs Divide the Fans Again?
As you might have guessed by the subtle hint, Bean skin designs are coming to Fortnite. Shiina, a Fortnite news and leaks account on X, confirmed the rumors. The statement noted: “CONFIRMED: The Fall Guys collaboration will include Bean designs for many skins that already exist in Fortnite. This will work similarly to the LEGO variants of already existing skins”.
Who would have guessed Bean designs would be such a polarizing topic? Fortnite players had a lot of opinions, ranging from pure delight all the way to utter disgust. A variety of opinions should be expected from a fanbase as big as Fortnite’s. They sure delivered.
McGuffy said: “This is f**king amazing”. Soul Runner added: “Let’s go”. Other players had exact skins in mind. James Nolan shared: “Hell yeah, looking forward to the Relaxed Fit Jonesy Bean”. Another player, K_Xanthe raved: “Personally I am a huge fan of The Fall Guys (and like Fortnite have spent an obscene amount of money on skins) so I’m okay with it LOL”.
Unsatisfied Players Lash Out
As you might have guessed, the number of concerned players trumps the number of those excited for the new skins. A player, titanswan, complained: “All for the metaverse. Fortnite will just be a game with too many game modes, and it will go stale quickly. Just like it has for 2 of the game modes already”.
Allen wondered: “Why in the actual hell are they going to release a Fall Guys mode when we have LITERAL FALL GUYS AS A GAME?!? I’m getting so sick of Fortnite trying to not be Fortnite anymore”. RedXIII1888 agreed: “They should just merge The Fall Guys into Fortnite if they are doing that with a lot of skins. Why go through all the trouble to Bean them if it’s a limited-time event in the game?”
A Redditor, HakfDuckHalfMan, expressed their opinion: “Wow this is going to be a massive waste of time and effort even if they will be cute lol”. Finally, Cruz Harlock summarized the general sentiment. They said: “This needs to stop. Now. Why they can’t just create those skins for The Fall Guys and leave the game we play as it is? I won’t play nor switch to The Fall Guys”.
We understand the concerns, but the additional variety won’t hurt anyone. Fortnite players can always opt out of using the new Bean designs on their skins. Of course, to each their own. You’ll have to wait and see for yourself if the designs were worth all of this hype.
