V-Bucks are the lifeblood of Fortnite, allows players to purchase the Battle Pass, skins, emotes, weapon skins, and more. V-Bucks have maintained a constant rate, but this may be about to change. Normally, we would expect prices to lower, but this seems to be the opposite depending on where you live.
Fortnite leaker Shiina shared this update via Twitter today, and haves been quick to cry out, while some are happy with the changes. This split reaction is based on location, along with inflation and currency changes.
It would seem that those in the UK and Canada can expect V-Bucks prices to rise, while those in Mexico will be enjoying cheaper purchases to get V-Bucks. This will likely have the community divided, as some will be delightful to afford more V-Bucks while others have to cough up more cash for the in-game currency.

One player states “Next is gold bar prices”, poking fun at Epic Games, while another takes out their frustration, stating, “Bro I spend enough and they raise it more. L Fornite.” Those in Mexico seem to be fine with the lowered prices, with many considered purchasing future V-Bucks in this region.
Only time will tell how this affects the Fortnite community, but reactions are certainly strong, especially on the side of those being negatively affected by the price increase. The question does linger, if V-Bucks prices go up, what else? Will cosmetics increase in price? Will Gold Bar value plummet? We can speculate all we want, but only Epic Games holds the answer to these questions.
